Massage Treatment Guide
Welcome to the world of massage therapy at Aurelia Massage Frisco!
This guide is designed to give you a complete overview of the professional massage treatment experience—from its benefits and techniques to important safety considerations. Whether this is your very first massage or you are a returning client, this information will help you get the most out of your treatment.
Treatment Environment & Process
Setting:
A professional massage session should always take place in a quiet, private, and comfortable environment.
- The room is typically kept warm with soft lighting.
- Gentle music may be played to help you relax.
- If you have any preferences regarding music, temperature, or lighting, please let your therapist know. This step is essential to ensure that the treatment is customized to your specific needs.
Consultation:
Before the massage begins, your therapist will conduct a brief consultation. This is your opportunity to share important health information (such as injuries, painful areas, allergies, medical conditions, or medications) and your goals for the session (for example: relieving muscle tension, overall relaxation, or addressing specific pain points).

Privacy & Attire
- Your therapist will leave the room so you have private time to undress.
- You may undress to your comfort level. For most full-body massages, clients either fully disrobe or keep on their undergarments.
- Regardless of how much clothing you remove, you will be professionally draped at all times with a sheet or towel. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered.
During the Massage
- Lie down on the massage bed and cover yourself with the sheet provided.
- Your therapist will knock before re-entering the room to ensure you are ready.
- Throughout the session, please communicate openly—if you feel discomfort, if the pressure is too strong or too light, or if you would like adjustments, let your therapist know right away.
Ending the Session:
After the massage, your therapist will step out to give you privacy. Take your time getting up and getting dressed.

Areas of Focus, Pressure, & Professional Ethics
Typical areas treated may include:
- Back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, and feet
- Depending on your needs and treatment goals, the abdomen or glutes may also be included
Pressure:
The goal is
“therapeutic pressure” (effective discomfort that helps release tension) — not
“pain you must endure.” Never hesitate to request adjustments.
Professional Ethics:
All professional massage sessions strictly follow ethical and professional boundaries. Any inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. If you ever feel uncomfortable, please immediately inform your therapist and the session will be stopped.
Health & Safety Guidelines
Communication is key. Always be honest about your health conditions, medications, discomfort, or pain.
